We do it in one motion — up the stairs, protect the rail, walk it down vertically, and into a truck staged legally around the corner from the boutique foot traffic. Couches with life in them go to donation (Hayes Valley castoffs are usually somebody's find); the truly finished ones are disposed of properly. If your new piece lands Thursday between 2 and 4, we're there Thursday at noon.
