Condition is not a price factor
Broken, stained, cracked, damp or hopelessly dated costs exactly what pristine costs, because we price the space it takes on the truck rather than what it is worth. Nothing gets weighed either, so a load of books and a load of duvets at the same volume come to the same figure.
Same-day costs the same as next week
There is no rush fee, no weekend rate and no premium slot in San Francisco. Same-day and next-day are routine here, and they price identically to a booking made a fortnight out.
