How the pricing works
Two instruments, and you can use either.
By item. You name what is going, you see the total before we dispatch, and that total is what you pay. Best for anything countable.
By truck fill. You do not name anything; we price on how much of the truck it takes. Best for garages, storage lockers and whole-flat clears where enumerating is pointless.
The San Francisco visit minimum is $95. If the items you have list below that — a single twin mattress at $82, one microwave at $30 — the visit prices at $95. That is the cost of putting a crew and a truck outside your door, and it is a good reason to walk the flat once and add whatever else has been waiting in the garage.
Included in every price: labor, carry from any floor, disassembly where something will not clear a landing turn, and disposal. Not charged separately: stairs, walk-ups, same-day booking, refrigerant, or tip fees.

For San Francisco calibration: a lightly used one-car garage is often a quarter to a half truck. A garage that has not been cleared in a decade is a half to three-quarters. A rent-controlled flat after a long tenancy, or a two-bedroom with a garage behind it, is a full truck and sometimes more than one load.

What San Francisco does not add to these numbers
Because it is the question we get most, spelled out:
- Stairs are free. Third-floor Victorian flat, long straight run, tight landing turn, no lift. Same price as a ground-floor garage.
- Disposal is included. Tip, transfer station, recycling sort.
- No refrigerant fee on fridges, freezers or air conditioners.
- No same-day surcharge.
- Parking, grade and one-way blocks do not change the price. They change the arrival time, which is why we ask about your street-cleaning window when you book.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum charge in San Francisco?
$95 for the visit. If what you have lists below that — a twin mattress at $82, a countertop microwave at $30 — you pay $95. It is worth a quick walk round the flat and the garage before booking so the visit earns its keep.
Does the price go up for a third-floor flat?
No. Carry-out from any floor is included in every price on this page. San Francisco is a city of upper flats above garages with no lift, so that is priced in rather than discovered on the day.
Should I price by item or by truck fill?
By item if you can list what is going — it is almost always cheaper. Shelving, a bike and a large junk pile at $71 + $37 + $208 = $316 sits under the $431 half-truck rate. By truck fill for garages, storage lockers and whole-flat clears where listing is impractical.
Is disposal really included?
Yes. Tip charges, transfer station fees and the recycling sort are all inside the number you are shown. There is no separate dump fee added afterwards and no fuel line.
Do you charge more for same-day?
No. There is no same-day surcharge. Availability varies by neighborhood and time of week, but the price does not move because you need it today.
What if I add something once the crew is there?
That is fine and it is the only thing that changes a total. The added item is priced from this same published list and you approve it before it goes on the truck.
