Every machine, priced flat
Live San Francisco figures from our published catalog — the same ones the quote page runs on:
| Equipment | Flat price |
|---|---|
| Weight bench | $69 |
| Stationary exercise bike | $72 |
| Weight set / free weights | $93 |
| Rowing machine | $76 |
| Peloton / smart bike | $80 |
| Elliptical machine | $97 |
| Treadmill | $115 |
| Home gym / multi-station | $143 |
Each number includes the crew, disassembly if a doorway demands it, the carry-out, the truck, and disposal or recycling. The job minimum is $95, so a single sub-$95 item books at the minimum — pair it with anything else in the house and every item earns its own listed price.
Why weight does not set the price
A truck fills by the cubic yard, not by the pound, so what you pay for is the space a thing occupies and the labor to move it. Free weights are the extreme case: a couple hundred pounds of iron that stacks into one corner of the truck bed — $74, the same logic that makes a feather-light but bulky mattress cost more. The treadmill's $115 is not a weight fee either; it is the footprint plus the two-person angle-and-pivot it takes to walk one out of a spare room. Dense and heavy is our specialty, and it is priced kindly.
The SF home gym, by neighborhood habitat
We clear the same three setups all over the city. The garage gym — Sunset, Excelsior, Outer Richmond, where the garage under the house quietly became a squat rack museum. The basement setup — Marina and Pacific Heights buildings with storage rooms below street level. And the spare-bedroom studio — the pandemic Peloton two flights up a Noe Valley Victorian. All three are ordinary bookings: the flat price already covers the stairs, the tight garage turn, and the below-grade carry. No stair or access fees, any floor.
Clearing the whole corner at once
Most people book the full retirement, not one machine. Real combinations, priced item by item:
The garage-corner classic: treadmill ($115) + weight bench ($69) + weight set ($74) = $258 flat, one visit.
The pandemic pair: Peloton ($80) + weight set ($93) = $173 and the spare room is a room again.
The serious setup: treadmill ($115) + elliptical ($97) + multi-station gym ($143) = $355, disassembly of the multi-station included.
If the equipment shares the truck with a wider clear-out — the gym plus the garage it lives in — the load can switch to our flat truck-fill rates instead ($241 for a quarter truck up to $732 for a full 16 cubic yards), whichever route prices lower for you.
Smart bikes: one thing to do first
Peloton and its cousins carry your account on the tablet. Log out or factory-reset from the settings screen before pickup — thirty seconds — and the bike leaves as hardware, not as your subscription history. If yours still powers on and holds resale value, list it first; working smart bikes actually sell in this city, and we would rather arrive for the one that did not.
Working gear: try the free exits first
Honest note before you pay anyone: functioning equipment has other exits. Marketplace buyers exist for working treadmills and bikes (expect flaky no-shows, but the price is right), and a buyer hauling it away is free removal. Donation is patchier — most charities decline exercise equipment, so do not count on that route. Where the machine is broken, obsolete, or simply not worth the listing-and-waiting cycle, that is the job we are built for: a fixed price, a two-hour window, and it is gone.
How booking works
Name the machines on the quote page or text a photo of the corner to (628) 221-0102 — the exact flat total comes back in about a minute. Pick a window (same-day is usually available if you book by mid-afternoon), pay by secure card link, and point the crew at the equipment. A single machine is typically out the door in fifteen minutes; a full corner in under an hour, including the disassembly.
The bottom line
The gym that did not get used costs less to retire than one month of most gym memberships: $74 for the weights, $80 for the Peloton, $115 for the treadmill, $258 for the classic corner — flat, stairs and disposal included, from any building in San Francisco. Get your price or call (628) 221-0102 and get the room back this week.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to remove a treadmill in San Francisco?
A treadmill is $115 flat with JunkRabbit in San Francisco — crew, carry-out from wherever it lives (basement, garage, third-floor spare room), hauling, and disposal or recycling all included. No weight fee, no stairs fee. An elliptical is $97, a rowing machine $76, a stationary bike $72.
Do you take Pelotons and smart bikes?
Yes — Peloton and other smart bikes are $80 flat on the SF catalog. Wipe your account off the tablet first (log out or factory-reset from the settings screen), and the bike itself is our problem from there. If yours still works, try selling it first; they hold some resale value and we would rather you get it.
Can you get gym equipment out of a basement or garage?
Every week. Sunset and Excelsior garage gyms, Marina basement setups, spare-bedroom studios up two flights — the flat price already includes the carry, whatever the route out looks like. Dense, awkward, and heavy is exactly what the crew is staffed for, and crew size is our cost, not a surcharge.
Do I need to take it apart first?
No. If a multi-station gym or a treadmill needs to come apart to clear a doorway, the crew handles the disassembly as part of the same flat price — $143 for a full home gym / multi-station, tools included. If you already lost the hardware or half the bolts years ago, that changes nothing; it is leaving either way.
Why are free weights so cheap to remove?
Because we price volume, not weight. A full weight set is brutally heavy and takes up almost no truck space, so it books at $74 — one of the best price-to-relief ratios on the catalog. The same logic is why a weight bench is $69: small footprint, easy load, flat number.
Can you take the whole home gym in one trip?
Yes — that is the normal booking. A typical cleared corner (treadmill $115 + weight bench $69 + weight set $74) is $258 flat in a single visit; add an elliptical and a multi-station and it is still one truck, one window, one number settled before we arrive. Same-day slots across San Francisco are usually open if you book by mid-afternoon.
